Sodium Chloride Solution (0.9% NaCl)

Aurena Nasal Spray is a non-habit forming preservative-free nasal irrigation spray intended to clear and moisturize the nasal mucosa/cavity. It is to be used when the nasal passage is obstructed by nasal secretions or by other matter as blood clots or crusts. It helps to clear the nasal mucosa from particulate matter as dust or pollen and allergens and irritants.

The device can be used to clear the nasal cavity and the mucosa prior to the administration of medicinal products. Can be used as frequent as needed.

Intended use
To clear and moisturize the nasal mucosa/cavity.

Target user
Can be used on infants, children and adults.

Directions
Aurena has listed two different directions below depending on target user:

For infants

  1. Place baby on the back in a stable position.
  2. Tilt baby’s head to the side. Insert the nozzle gently into the upper nostril. Press the nozzle briefly. Tilt baby’s head to the other side and repeat with the other nostril.
  3. Wipe any residual liquid.
  4. Clean the nozzle in soapy water and rinse with warm water after each use.

Store in room temperature for comfortable use.

For children from 6 months and adults

Hold the can at any angle and gently insert the nozzle into each nostril, press 1-2 seconds. Clean the nozzle in soapy water and rinse with warm water after each use. Store in room temperature for comfortable use.

Composition
Sodium Chloride Solution (0.9% NaCl)

Storage
Store between 0°C (32°F) and 30°C (86°F).
Transport temperature: -20°C (-4°F) to 40°C (104°F).

Disposal
Follow local regulations for safe disposal of pressurized containers.

Precautions

  • The use of this device by more than one person may spread infections.
  • Should be closely monitored when used for children under 6 months.
  • Seek medical attention if condition persists or gets worse.
  • If any serious incident occurs in relation to the device, report to the local competent authority and the manufacturer.

Warning
Pressurised container: May burst if heated.
• Do not pierce or burn, even after use.
• Keep away from heat, hot surfaces, sparks, open flames and other ignition sources. No smoking.
• Do not expose to temperatures exceeding 50°C/122°F.
• Protect from sunlight.
• Keep out of reach of children.
